Kx Systems names Affinity Systems as Consulting, Training, and Sales Partner

Palo Alto, CA (25 Feb 2014) – Kx Systems, a leader in high-performance database and time-series analytics, today announced a consulting, training, and sales partnership focusing on the utilities sector with Affinity Systems, a Mississauga, Ontario-based software consultancy.

Kx has developed an ultra high-speed database called kdb+, with an expressive query language, q, that is optimized for analyzing vast amounts of data in real-time, while Affinity Systems has been building custom software solutions in a broad range of industries including utilities, telecom, financial services, retail, and insurance since 1989.

Known for its systematic approach in design and development of complex software implementations, Affinity specializes in big data analytics, business intelligence, and life-cycle quality assurance. This partnership will enable companies with big numerical data problems to address their data challenges through the application of technology specifically designed for high-volume, low-latency applications.
