READY FOR THE CHALLENGES IN LIGHT OF FERC 2222?

Hosted by KX and CGI, this roundtable of industry experts explored the recent FERC 2222 ruling and the next steps affecting the North American Energy Markets in the US and Canada. The session focused on the following challenges:

    • How will the incumbent market operators respond to the introduction of FERC 2222 and the move towards a new ecosystem?
    • Are the existing local state levels polices such as Net Energy Metering hurting the creation of the new eco-system?
    • How relevant are the DSOs in this change (i.e. North American Regulated Utility)?
    • What about those who question the need for RTO?
    • Are we likely to see more proliferation of voluntary bid based energy market system such as Energy Exchange Markets or Energy Imbalance Markets?
