Kx Systems Recognized as Laureate by the Computerworld Honors Program
Global Information Technology Awards Foundation Pays Tribute to Individuals and Organizations that Use Information Technology to Benefit Society
Palo Alto and New York (12 Apr 2010) - Kx Systems has been recognized as a Laureate by IDG's Computerworld Honors Program. This year's Honorees will be commemorated during the 22nd Annual Laureates Medal Ceremony & Gala Awards Evening on June 7, 2010 at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C.
For over two decades, Computerworld Honors has acknowledged those individuals and organizations that have used information technology to benefit society.
Janet Lustgarten, CEO of Kx Systems, commented, "We were thrilled to have been nominated for this enormously prestigious program by Morgan Stanley. To then go on to be nominated as a Laureate has been fantastically exciting and is a clear example of the high regard in which our products, computer language and innovation are held throughout the financial markets."
The Computerworld Honors Program unites Chairmen and CEOs of the world's foremost information technology companies to recognize the most outstanding user achievements in technology each year. The technology achievements honored by this program are preserved and protected in national archives, and in over 350 universities, museums, and research institutions throughout the world. Each year, members of the Chairmen's Committee, a group of 100 Chairmen/CEOs of global technology companies, nominate individuals and organizations around the world whose visionary applications of information technology promotes positive social and economic progress.
Independent of the Laureate recognition, the Computerworld Honors Program also annually present its Leadership Awards, each designed to honor the extraordinary achievements of selected individuals whose positive contributions to the IT revolution have left an indelible mark on the world.
"Each Laureate selected for this honor understands the importance of using one's resources and technical prowess to benefit one's fellow man," said Bob Carrigan, Chairman of the Computerworld Honors Program Chairmen's Committee and CEO of IDG Communications Worldwide.
