It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since we launched the KXperts program, and what an incredible journey it’s been. What started as a simple idea to recognize and support passionate developers has grown into a vibrant, global community of advocates helping to shape the future of KX technology.
Over the past 12 months, we’ve seen our KXperts share their knowledge, inspire others, and push the boundaries of what’s possible. From blog posts and tutorials to livestreams, meetups, and beta testing, their contributions have been nothing short of extraordinary.
What is the KXperts program?
The KXperts program is our community advocacy initiative designed to spotlight developers who not only love working with KX technology but also actively share that enthusiasm with others. Whether it’s through content creation, community support, or public speaking, KXperts help grow and strengthen the KX ecosystem by sharing knowledge and inspiring others.
KXperts enjoy a range of exclusive perks:
- Free swag and conference passes
- Content promotion and feedback from KX developers
- Recognition on KX.com and LinkedIn
- Speaking opportunities and travel support
- Early access to beta software like KDB-X
- VIP sessions with product teams
Looking back, it’s been an incredibly rewarding journey, not just for the exposure, but for the amazing community and support that came with it. Big thanks to the KX team for their constant encouragement, and to the kdb/q community for being such a brilliant, curious, and welcoming group.
Alexander Unterrainer – KDB/q consultant at Data Intellect
The KXperts program has given me a valuable platform to share tips and tricks with users, while also helping me grow personally and professionally. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a community that supports and empowers those who are eager to learn.

Highlights from the year
Here are just a few standout moments from our first year:
- Top content creators: Alexander Unterrainer published eight blogs and three tutorials, while Jonathan Kane contributed six insightful blog posts.
- Livestream leaders: Alexander hosted mastering kdb+ architecture, Jemima led getting started with KX Dashboards, and Emanuele Melis explored Quant Research with kdb+.
- Event speakers: Jonathan and Jemima both spoke at the 2025 KX Meetup in London, while Emanuele took the stage in New York. Both events drew over 160 attendees.
- Community hosts: Alexander launched our first Brews & Q’s Happy Hour in London, and Jesús López-González, hosted a Habla event in Madrid titled Everything, Everywhere, All with KDB/q.
None of this would be possible without our incredible KXperts. Your creativity, commitment, and feedback have helped shape the future of our technology, particularly with the development of KDB-X.
If you’re passionate about KX, love sharing your knowledge, and would like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. We only ask that you’ve been actively advocating for at least six months to ensure you’ve had time to engage with the community.
