Drives continuous improvement efforts by identifying and championing practical means of reducing time to market while maintaining high-quality products (i.e. – process improvements/automation opportunities).
Support Development & Implementation
Plays a lead role in preliminary story review, providing constructive feedback and input on both work effort estimation as well as architecture/design improvements.
Applies expert knowledge of kdb+, Q language, Kx Platform & solutions designing and developing key services.
Hands-on technical lead, building consensus on detailed design and architecture plans for complex, large scale efforts.
A team player – Assists the teams as required to achieve delivery milestones
Provide expertise & direction for 3rd Line Support to best manage customer issues.
Completes research and conducts POCs on new technologies.
Works ahead – ensuring the architecture is responsive to evolving needs.
Help to inform technical road-maps to Product Team
Significant involvement with Account Manager for sales initiatives inside current client and active participant in external sales initiatives
Provide technical pre-sales support to sales team, Respond to technical questions from sales team and from customers
Deliver demonstrations and use cases where possible
Embraces and enforces Kx SDLC and information security standards.
Participates in code reviews, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues and defects.
Defines key metrics driving code optimization and re-factoring.
Expected to develop network of relationships within the organization in order to achieve results and to effectively communicate vision and status both within/across teams as well as to management.
