The Role:
  • The KX strategic R&D team is looking for passionate and driven Front-End Developers to create the next generation of data visualization software for the KX platform.
  • We specialize in visualizing and interacting with data for a range of clients around the world.
  • We enjoy solving the challenges that come with translating high-volume, real-time data into intuitive visual interfaces that inform and empower our clients’ decision-making.
  • Our ideal candidate can build robust web applications while also appreciating good design and the user experience and is enthusiastic about working with others to find the best possible solution.
Criteria:
  • Strong programming ability and working knowledge of Javascript, HTML, CSS and Web Services (a demo or portfolio is ideal).
  • Experience of frameworks (React, Angular, Backbone etc), design patterns and build systems.
  • Is a technology enthusiast! Interested and engaged in the community.
  • Enjoys problem-solving and appreciates an elegant solution.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with technologies like Typescript, SASS, Node, RESTful web services, Gulp, Jenkins CI, Java, Python, Bash, Socket Programming, Visual Studio, Adobe Photoshop, kdb+, MongoDB, MySQL.
  • Visual design experience, understanding of user experience and responsive design.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as QUnit, Selenium, Nightwatch.
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as JIRA, Trac, GitHub or Subversion.
  • Linux server administration: shell scripting, web server configuration, Tomcat, nginx.
