Kx data scientist Espe Aguilera explains a NASA FDL mission to improve the accuracy of finding new exoplanets using machine learning models. The data for the project will come from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS), which was launched in April 2018, with the objective of discovering new exoplanets in orbit around the brightest stars in the solar neighborhood.

Kx parent First Derivatives today announced a collaboration agreement with Airbus Defence and Space to develop an innovative approach for the large-scale processing of geospatial Earth Observation data using Kx technology. Satellite data manipulation and information provisioning, stemming from increased volumes of Earth Observation data, provide significant commercial potential. Together, Kx and Airbus Defence and Space are striving to take the lead in this emerging market.
